This bow is made from very dark and dense osage, it has several caves and holes. At the handle was a very big cave, I considered to saw it in two halves and use as billets. But thought finally give it a try, filled that cave with a truck load (mass is now 846 grams) of tin – and it holds up fine!
A concave curve is used for arrow position (more to centershot), the following convex shaped curve fits the palm of the bowhand. The arrowshelf is an antler wedge, a bit incised in the wood to get a nice connection. Tip overlays are also antler.
The bow is tillered to 28”, but I’m sure it will take 30” or even more.
