This is the daughter stave from ‘three toes’ (No.91). It is made with the same design, just (being the daughter) ½” less wide – now 1½”. She got very nice tip overlays from a two tone horn. The handle is upholstered with some leather strips and the grip itself is croc leather. I was lucky enough and could it glue on with a nearly invisible joint. Black leather lacing strips make a nice ending and an additional accent.
The stave itself was super clean with only a few pin knots, I did only some heat adjustments to bring that baby in balance. The statics are steamed in.
